“ Had a wonderful evening here with 2 other couples. We made reservations and were lucky to have a wonderful round table in the back of the restaurant, it almost had the feel of being in a private room. There were other tables nearby, buy we were able to converse and hear each other as the noise level was very low. I had a side caesar salad with anchovies and thought it was one of the best versions of the dish I've ever had. I always enjoy the Steak Egg rolls as an appetizer. My wife ordered the petite filet and thought it was really good and she also enjoyed the loaded baked potato. One of the things you get here are some warm sweet bread rolls that come with a butter spread that makes them taste like warm donuts. I love it. This is a great place for date night and/or a small gathering. The food here is a bit pricey, but it is delicious. Wines by the glass are reasonably priced and they give a decent pour providing excellent value. Our server was excellent and provided attentive service throughout the evening. ”

“ While I am not a fan of hotel restaurants or restaurants in hotels, I will make an exception for this one as it was so good! I attended a company dinner here, so the bill was picked up, which always seems to make food taste better, but I must say, I was impressed with everything here. While it seems a bit fancy, there is no real dress code, however, the night I went, the customers were all dressed nicely, including our group. We were seated in the private dining room. I ordered a Dirty Martini, and I must say, it was one of the finest martinis I have ever had. Something one never forgets! We looked over the menu, and I ordered a Wedge Salad and a NY Strip with a Lobster Tail on the side. Our glorious leader, who is a wine connoisseur, ordered wine, and we were very impressed with the wine cellar here- some incredible wines at some great prices! My Wedge Salad was perfect, and my steak- excellent- and the lobster was tender and tasty- a nice surprise as they are awalys frozen and cooked until they're rubber. This one was excellent. Service was fantastic, very attentive without being ovebearing. I would love to come here with my wife, as it seems romantic as well! ”

“ Hadn't been here in awhile and this visit made me wonder why I waited so long. Excellent service by Noah, I had their version of the Old Fashioned that was tasty and mixed nicely. Wedge salad was outstanding and presented perfectly with the accoutrements. The ribeye was very good and I saw the chicken dish looked outstanding too as did the KC Strip. Stoney River is a must return too but to not wait as long. Specials also looked interesting. ”

“ The food, service, and ambiance are stellar. My only negative is not in the control of Stoney River. The downside of premier restaurants near hotels and apartments is attire. We shared a $500 meal surrounded by people who strolled in from the nearby hotel pool in cutoffs, flip flops, tees, and a few to many afternoon cocktails. It affects the experience. Dress code, maybe? ”

“ This is my second time dining at this restaurant. The bread basket is so good! It is like a yummy first course dessert, with the cinnamon butter--It is worth it just to experience that. The steak rolls were actually an appetizer but were big enough to be an entree. They were very delicious with the chimichurri sauce. My entree was an oven grilled halibut-with sauteed spinach, this was mouth watering and so, so flavorful. I had (2) negronis which were very delicious. The service was great, my water was continuously filled and the wait staff was always attentive to our needs. The ambiance was very charming and relaxing, a great place for a romantic dinner, which I had with my husband. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and will return again. ”

“ Wonderful place to have dinner or celebrate a special occasion! Service was top notch and food was exquisite. The complimentary "bread" is reason enough to return. They are not unlike deep fried donut balls, chewy and sweet and made even more irresistible with the cinnamon butter slathered over it. Lobster Bisque $13 - Thick and creamy soup with chunks of lobster meat. It was filling for a soup and the bowl portion is plenty big to share between 2 people. Hong Kong Sea Bass $45 - Fish was cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned. Rice was a hard on the bottom, but not purposely crispy. Would order again. Caesar Salad Add-on $8 Side of mash potatoes that came with the other entrée was huge! Other dishes I've tried: Whiskey Shrimp - Would definitely order again. 4 pieces of shrimp over toast and covered in sauce. One per person is enough as an appetizer. Lobster Bisque cup - Smooth and creamy. Hong Kong Sea Bass - Perfectly cooked with great texture. Simple but oh so delicious!
